Why I'm Running for Oak Creek-Franklin School Board
As a taxpaying member of our community, I am dedicated to ensuring a world-class education for the children of the Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District. Our students and families deserve an educational experience that is unparalleled in Wisconsin.
We must eliminate ineffective programs, streamline successful ones, and address any conflicts of interest or unethical behavior from school board members and administrators while ensuring responsible spending of tax dollars.
To achieve this, school board members must hold themselves and the School District Administration accountable. If elected, I will propose clear policy objectives and enhance transparency regarding communications from the school district.
My Priorities
World-Class Education
We must put the Oak Creek-Franklin School District on the relentless pursuit of achieving a world-class education experience for every student and their family. In order to achieve world-class status, we must start by requiring the school district administration leadership team, in collaboration with the Board of Education, to design and implement a plan that outlines a roadmap for achieving our world-class educational goals.
Equity and Inclusion and Student Well-being
Promoting equity and inclusion is critical for the educational advancement of our students, families, educators, and administrators. I am committed to advocating for diversity in education, ensuring that every student, regardless of background, has equal opportunities to thrive and succeed.
The well-being of students is paramount to a world-class educational environment. I will focus on providing a supportive and safe environment where students can grow, learn, and succeed academically, emotionally, and socially.
Accountability
I am concerned that some current board members are pursuing personal agendas and have conflicts of interest that detract from our community values. Thus resulting in neglecting to enforce Board of Education policies against unethical behavior. I will advocate for a thorough review of these policies and pursue necessary amendments to align the Board of Education policies with the ethical standards of our community.
Strategic Planning
The success of our school district and Board of Education initiatives hinges on clear and transparent plans. We must ensure that all stakeholders are held responsible for their roles and that they are actively advancing the district's and the Board of Education's mission.
Community Engagment
Achieving world-class educational excellence requires the engagement of our entire community. By engaging with families, teachers, and community members, I will strive to build a strong network of support for our students. Through these efforts, I am committed to ensuring all voices are heard.
